For too long Burton has been too quiet. Burton Music Collective want to kickstart our town’s new music community.
OUR VISION
We believe in music’s power to shape a new future for Burton. Because we’ve done it before; from the 76 Club to The Refinery, The Telescopes, The Leisure Society and Riding The Low, through our vibrant metal, folk and jazz traditions, our town has an amazing musical heritage.
But… right now, we don’t have a live venue dedicated to new music and little going on to support and grow our music community.
OUR MISSION
This is the first step to change that. Thanks to The Brewhouse Arts Centre, Burton Music Collective will be supporting a multi-venue celebration of live gigs this November.
WE NEED YOU! Local musicians, bands, solo artists, DJs, MCs, promoters, pubs, clubs, cafes… anyone who loves music in Burton and wants to help to make it happen. Follow us now on Facebook and Instagram for exclusive, early bird tickets, gig news and event updates.
SHOW US WHAT YOU’VE GOt.
We are looking for ambitious ideas. It might be a night of experimental electronica in an industrial space, heavy dub in a pub back room, twisted anti-folk in Burton Library or emerging indie bands in a working men’s club. The only limit is your imagination.
REQUIREMENTS
All we stipulate is the show needs to take place in Burton and needs to feature at least 50% Burton artists on the bill.
WHAT YOU GET
Not only will selected live gigs receive up to £700 towards the costs of putting the show on, successful applicants will also recieve massive promotion and support from Burton Music Collective and our network of national music industry professionals.
